June Tech Tip - PV-WAVE
Read data files into PV-WAVE in real-time using
FSTAT and POINT_LUN
What follows is a simple example of using FSTAT and
POINT_LUN to read a file as it is being written by
another application. This application might be, for
example, a Visual Basic application that is writing a
data file generated by some measurement instrument. For
the sake of simplicity, the other application in this
case is just a DOS batch file. The batch file writes
text strings to a file every time the user Hits Any Key.
This way, you can simulate how fast your
"instrument" writes data to the file.
