The STATISTICA Student Version
(available only in selected coutries) is specifically designed for
the beginning and intermediate statistics student. In addition to a
comprehensive set of basic statistics functionality, the program
features a user-friendly interface to put students at ease. The
student version includes the following subset of modules also
featured in STATISTICA:
- Basic Statistics
- ANOVA
- Multiple Regression
- Nonparametrics
- Cluster Analysis
- Factor Analysis
- Discriminant Analysis
Users with Internet access will also benefit from the electronic
statistics textbook, a free educational statistics resource provided
by StatSoft, Inc.
Please note that the STATISTICA Student Version
does not support the following functions offered in the full version
of STATISTICA:
- Cannot create, load, or manipulate any data file that exceeds
the limit of 100 variables by 400 cases
- All print outs include phrase "for classroom use
only"
- Cannot create, records, or open macros/SVB
- Can use clipboard only for text, not for graphs
- Import is available but cannot export data files
- Does not support ODBC/OLE DB
- Merge is disabled
- Does not support graph wizard or user defined graphs
- Program will require a CD-key during installation and the
program will expire after 3 years
